American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Courses
We offer two types of ACLS courses, Initial and Renewal. Courses are located at our office at 1500 W. Abram St., Arlington, Texas 76013 or we do offer an on-site option.
Respiratory Associates of Texas employees may take these courses for free. Course fees for non-employees are as follows: Initial ACLS & NRP Courses: $175. Respiratory Therapists in Texas will receive 12 live CE credits for successful completion of this course.
Initial courses are for healthcare providers who do not currently have a valid ACLS or NRP card. This means you have never taken ACLS or NRP or your card has expired.
We are now offering 1-Day Inital Courses 9A-5P.
Day 1: 9AM-7PM consisting of video lecture, discussion, Adult CPR check-off, Mega-Code practice, written exam and mega-code check-off.
Failure to Pass Should you fail to pass on day 1 you will have to come back for day 2.
Renewal Courses: $125. Respiratory Therapists in Texas will receive live CE credits for successful completion of this course, but only for the number of hours actually in class. This is usually 4-6 hours.
Renewal courses are for healthcare providers who currently have a valid ACLS card.
One Day Only: 9AM-3PM consisting of video lecture, discussion, Adult CPR and Mega-Code checkoff.
On-site Courses: We can bring an ACLS course to your location within the D/FW area. This is the most economical option if you have a large group. Locations farther than 30 miles from our Arlington location will incur a mileage fee at the then current IRS allowable amount. We will bring all of the required ACLS equipment to your location. Classes cost $75/hr, with a 4 hour minimum, plus $5 per card.
You must provide:
Meeting Room
AV Equipment, e.g. TV & VCR
Coffee & water
Please Note: Failure to study prior to either course will probably result in failure to pass. Prior to class you are expected to be able to identify ECG rhythms, understand the pharmacolgy used in ACLS, and you must have a valid BLS/CPR card. It is highly recommended you read the entire ACLS Provider manual. There is a pre-test on the CD that you will need to complete and turn in at the beginning of the course.
Please click the link below to purchase an ACLS Provider manual directly from Channing-Bete.
If you do not wish to purchase your own provider manual you may borrow one from us, $10 S&H fee. It is free to borrow a book if you want to pick it up at our office. There is a $50 replacement fee if you fail to return it in usable condition.
Payment Methods: PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, checks, money orders, company purchase orders, cash (at our office), and we can invoice your hospital. We do not accept checks over the phone.
Please choose the date of the ACLS, NRP, or CPR course you wish to attend. Classes are limited to 6 participants.
Refunds: We will gladly refund the entire purchase price, until 7 days prior to the course. Prior to the 7 day cancellation deadline you may also change to a different date. No refunds or date changes will be given for cancellations within 7 days of the course date. We do allow you to find someone else to replace you in the course. Refunds can be made by crediting the original credit card or via a refund check.
Card Replacement: ACLS replacement cards are $5.
