These are AARC approved as "Live", Instructor-Directed contact hours. There is no special software to download. All you need is Windows Media Player, which comes with Microsoft Windows. Since these are recorded files, not Internet radio, they shouldn't be blocked by your hospital IT department.
AARC rules regarding "Live" Instructor-Directed courses refer to the ability to interact with the content expert live, not with producing the actual content live. We are recording our presentations and allowing you to interact with our content experts during specific times. During these posted times you will be able to take any of our available topics that might interest you and receive "live" credit for attending the courses.
You have two options for questions or comments for the content expert. The first is simply picking up the phone and dialing a toll-free number. The second is via email. We welcome your comments and questions.
AARC rules also do not mandate a post-test for live content, therefore there is no post-test. However, a post-presentation evaluation must be completed in order for you to receive your certificate.
To participate you will need to do the following:
Pre-register for the course - Do this by choosing the "Pay Online" option at left and then select "Register for Live CE Courses". Live courses are $15 per credit hour.
Sign-in during posted times - No password required
Enjoy the presentation
Fill-out an online evaluation form - There is no post-test
Receive your certificate via email the next business day
